What I like about the Spectra Baby USA S2 Double/Single Breast Pump

This product is designed to meet the needs of many moms who want an effective and powerful breast pump that can increase breastmilk production while at the same time is easy to use, convenient and comfortable to the user.Hospital Grade Breast Pump

The Closed System, basis of a hygiene breast pump

The closed system is truly a unique feature that distinguishes it from other cheaper yet lower quality breast pumps which may be unhygienic. Usually, conventional manual breast pumps will cause the mother to transfer bottle contents into milk bags resulting in an open system that is prone to contamination.Hospital Grade Breast Pump Review

Breastmilk should never be exposed to open air as the air contains a lot of contaminants such as pollutants, toxins, bacteria, viruses and fungi. All these can gain access to the breastmilk and can be ingested by the baby through the breastmilk.

Once these pollutants and germs get into the baby’s body, it makes the baby prone to infections such as colds, flu, gastroenteritis and other illnesses. Sometimes, these diseases can be deadly! This is why a closed system is recommended in collecting breastmilk from breast pumps to milk bottles and milk bags. Thus, Spectra Baby USA S2 Double/Single Breast Pump provides us the assurance in this regard.

Unique Features

Spectra Baby USA S2 Double/Single Breast Pump contains a night light and a timer to offer moms the convenience of pumping breastmilk during night-time and for a definite amount of time. The package contains everything that you need for double pumping. It contains a powerful and adjustable suction that makes you feel comfortable and no stress to the breasts so that you even will not realize that it is actually there working for you and baby.

What I do not like about the Spectra Baby USA S2 Double/Single Breast Pump

One of the downsides for this product is that the measurements were not visible in the bottles after using them for a few months only. The pumps could also get malfunction after a few months. Sometimes, the bottles could come out loosened by themselves while pumping. Whether or not it is due to my misuse, this is just irritating as it could cause milk spill and a mess. Furthermore, there is only one space to hold one bottle on the pump. It is also not a portable pump and the pumping mechanism is not as good as compared with other brands.Hospital Grade Breast Pump Review
