All are possible with Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump…

There are certainly many advantages of breastfeeding, but how can you breastfeed exclusively when you have to go to work every day or run a lot of errands around the house? Now, all these are possible with the use of the Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump.

Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump is a double electric breast pump that is designed for everyday use. It is specially designed for moms who need to pump several times a day.

Supplementary packs

Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump comes with built-in bottle holders that can prevent messy milk spills. It also comes with a battery pack so that I can pump anywhere and everywhere I can. The removable cooler bag contains a contoured ice pack that can hold up to four breast milk bottles. This is why I can say that the Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump with On the Go Tote is the perfect assistant for moms who are always on the go and who need to breastfeed several times a day.

What I like about the Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump

Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump is built with two-phase expression technology with a one-touch letdown button so that moms will be more stimulated to produce more milk in a lesser amount of time than by using the manual breast pumps. This is achieved when you choose the stimulation phase. It then has a Maximum Comfort Vacuum expression phase that you can choose to give yourself a relaxing and more comforting experience. These 2 phases design of the Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump mimics a baby’s normal suckling behavior.

Content of the package

Each purchase of Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump comes with a tote bag with an integrated motor unit, a battery pack, an AC adaptor, an insulated cooler bag, an ice pack, 24 mm breast shields, PersonalFit connectors, 5-ounce breast milk bottles, tubings, valves and instructions. Surely you can pump “in style” with this product. It is so convenient, it creates less hassle and is even discreet so that you can pump anywhere and anytime you want. Moreover, the parts are pretty easy to clean.

Comments on the bag…

The stylish microfiber bag contains a built-in compact pump motor. This bag can keep everything that I need to pump breastmilk. It is so portable that you can easily carry it with you wherever you travel.

Functions & Features

The battery pack enables me to pump anywhere I want even when I am traveling, or in places where there is no available electricity to use. The device has a single knob speed and vacuum adjustments that can give you a comfortable experience while breast pumping. It is easy to manipulate because you can adjust its speed and vacuum control easily till a certain setting that is the most comfortable for you. On top of that, the speed adjustment feature can increase breast milk expression and collection within a few minutes.

What I do not like about the Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump

However, its reliability is questionable because it stopped working at my expected performance level after a few months. Of course, that does not mean that it is totally not usable at all. Also, the pumps can leak air so you should check the membranes constantly. This product does not score high in the hygienic point of view as it is an open system which has the risk of introducing dust and other contaminants into the tubes. Another obvious flaw commonly experienced by most of the users is that I cannot control the speed and suctioning effect of this double electric breast pump as it only has a single dial.

Moreover, it keeps on switching back and forth between the automatic modes. It also would not pump milk at times and makes a loud sound that can disturb other people around you when breast pumping.

Grab your Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump now!

Overall, Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump is still a good product that gives moms a more relaxing and comforting breast pumping experience. It has patented technology that can give rise to a greater milk production within a lesser amount of time. Grab your Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump with On the Go Tote now for a truly satisfying breastfeeding experience!

  • Great review, Paige. I personally have not used this brand of breast pump, but one of my girlfriends did.

She raved about it, as she was previously used a manual pump. She was lucky she received this as a gift.

The cost is a bit pricey for those who are contemplating to buy one, but from what she told me it was something she could not live without...

    • Oh, Terry... This pump is one of the best products in the market. I feel happy for your girlfriend to have owned it because it was given to her as a gift. But I can ensure you if you were going to buy it, it is really worth the money! Let's give some thoughts on it and consider buying it on Amazon...

  • Page,

The Medela single suction pump was the pump I used. It worked beautifully! I highly recommend this brand to anyone considering their options!

    Billie Jean

    • Hey there, Billie Jean. Thank you for providing your affirmation for the Medela single suction pump, it's so encouraging. Cheers. ;)

  • The material was very well written and informative and the use of imagery kept the content flowing nicely! The only thing I could think of is maybe compare and contrast to a product that isn't as good as this one, maybe the popular competitor. Show them why this pump is the best choice. Other than that, I thought the site was pretty awesome and very helpful to anyone considering the option of purchasing a pump!

  • I am very impressed with your site. It is simple to understand. There is very helpful information on the products, making it easier to purchase what is needed. It is appealing to the eye, with defining pictures of products so you know what you are buying. Best of all, you have included a link to WA. Nicely done!

  • Very informative review. I have been researching the Medela brand after a friend recommended the product to me - I wanted to see what others had to say. Your review has provided me with really good information - I think this is the brand I will be going for! Thanks!

  • The Medela breast pump is an excellent medium of extracting breast milk , especially when the baby refuses to nurse directly from the mother. Breast milk is absolutely necessary for the child's early development, especially the brain cells.
When my second son was born, he refused to nurse from his mother's breast. Our only solution was the Medela breast pump, which provide the perfect means of collecting the breast milk without any problems. The pump was efficient and reliable at all times once it was properly assembled.

    • Hi Darsh, thank you so much for sharing your thought here. It's awesome! Definitely it will help the other mothers out there to make a more informed decision towards choosing their best breast pump.

  • This would probably have made my life easier when I went back to work and was pumping for my baby. I had a single, electric pump and it took a long time and was very noisy. I like that you present the advantages as well as the possible issues with this pump. Any idea how quiet the pump is?

  • Hi Paige,

    Well-written content!

I witnessed first-hand how my wife struggled with a manual breast pump in order to be able to feed our child breast milk. This became much worse when she had to resume her work as part of a hotel's sales team. This is definitely a product that will help a lot of active and working moms out there.

I also appreciate your pointing out of the potential flaw in the product, namely the reliability. Moms out there will need to know what they're getting into if they intend to invest on the Mandela Pump.

    Cheers to you!
    Paulo

  • Hi,

I had this exact pump when I was relactating and I agree with the 4 stars you gave. Although I managed to bring back my milk supply, I had to purchase a separate 21mm breast shields as the 24mm is too wide for my breast. I ended up putting the 21mm shields inside the 24mm shields. It wasn't a perfect fit but it was indeed better in terms of suction.

I feel that they should include different breast shield sizes in their package. It is so hard to gauge if you will have a nice fit.

The shoulder bag is ok to carry but can get heavy over time especially if you carry it with you every day to pump in the office. I would consider getting the PISA in a backpack next time if they still have stocks left.

    Cheer,
    Pitin

  • A friend of mine let me borrow her Medela when my last son was born and all I had to purchase was the tubing and other attachments. I really loved it and felt it was by far the best pump I'd used up until that point. I didn't have any problems with it leaking anywhere. I did need to be cleaned pretty often though because, like you said, it's not a closed system. It's disappointing to hear that yours stopped working as well after a few months but from what I've found when I looked into it, that's not very common. I would also recommend this pump to others :)
    -Jessica

    • Hi, Jessica, I guessed it's so - my pump's breakdown was not a common case. I heard from some users that theirs can last even up to 8 years to pass down to their next children. Well, I still think that it's reasonable for you to recommend this pump to the others as 1 of the best in the market. Cheers~
